Experience Dark Star Orchestra at Marquee Theatre

Dark Star Orchestra BIO

Dark Star Orchestra is an American band formed in Chicago in 1997, dedicated to performing the complete repertoire of the Grateful Dead through meticulous recreations of their historical setlists. Rather than opting for a generic 'greatest hits' format, the band researches specific Grateful Dead performances and recreates them live, announcing the setlist only after the show. With over 2,300 performances to date, Dark Star Orchestra has established itself as one of America's most active touring acts and is widely regarded as the preeminent Grateful Dead tribute band.

The upcoming performance at Marquee Theatre - AZ on February 3, 2027, is part of their Dark Star Orchestra 2026 Tour. This venue has hosted numerous memorable shows, and fans can expect an engaging experience reminiscent of the Grateful Dead's iconic performances. The band's set typically includes around 20-30 songs across two sets, with a full live band setup that features vintage equipment and psychedelic lighting.

Notable songs performed by Dark Star Orchestra include "Good Times," "Deal," "Dark Star," and "Franklin's Tower." The positive live performance vibe is enhanced by the band's dedication to capturing the essence of the original Grateful Dead concerts, making each show a unique experience for attendees. The event will also feature opening acts that complement the vibrant atmosphere.

Tempe, Arizona, known for its lively music scene and vibrant culture, provides an ideal backdrop for this concert. The city's rich history and appreciation for live music make it a fitting location for such a tribute to one of rock's most beloved bands.
